A bit about your role
A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Senior Portfolio Manager, reporting to the Executive Manager, Field Portfolio Governance & Delivery.
The Field Improve and Transform team is responsible for shaping and executing the nbn Field Strategy in alignment with broader corporate goals. This includes overseeing the planning, prioritisation, and governance of business improvement and transformation initiatives to meet field service, productivity, and quality targets.
The Senior Portfolio Manager plays a key leadership role, working with senior stakeholders to manage the strategic roadmap, ensure alignment with business objectives, and oversee the delivery of initiatives within time and budget.
The role involves strategic planning, resource management, risk mitigation, and performance tracking, while also contributing to executive-level communications and decision-making.
A bit about you
To succeed in the Senior Portfolio Manager role, the ideal candidate will have significant experience in project and program management, with increasing leadership responsibilities.
Mandatory certifications include PRINCE2, PMP or PgMP, and experience with Agile, Lean, and Waterfall methodologies.
The role also requires strong problem-solving skills, commercial awareness of the telecommunications and field services industry, and the ability to lead complex programs and stakeholder engagement.
Key competencies include strategic planning, business case development, benefit tracking, and advanced communication and influencing skills, particularly with senior executives.
Finally, the ideal candidate is self-motivated, resilient, detail-oriented, and capable of driving continuous improvement and fostering a collaborative, accountable culture.
