Description

DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING WITHIN THE ENERGY INDUSTRY AND ARE A CONFIDENT NEGOTIATOR AND STRUCTURER?

If so, we may have the perfect opportunity for you here at EDF as a Senior PPA Originator!

WHO YOU ARE

We’re looking for a Senior PPA Originator who thrives on complexity, innovation and stakeholder engagement. You’ll bring experience in structuring and negotiating Corporate PPAs and bespoke renewable offtake deals, with a strong track record of leading high-value commercial negotiations in the UK energy market.
You’ll have a deep understanding of the PPAs, the CfD, ROCs, REGOs and wholesale market structures, and be confident managing senior relationships across legal, risk, trading and product teams. You’ll also be commercially astute, proactive in identifying new business opportunities, and driven to deliver results in a fast-evolving sector.

Responsibilities

You’ll originate and lead negotiations for bespoke renewable and Corporate PPA contracts, developing innovative deal structures including physical and virtual CPPAs, PPAs to support CfD assets, Flex PPAs and PPAs to suit private wire projects. You’ll build trusted relationships with developers and corporate clients, working closely with internal teams to deliver commercially sound agreements. You’ll also play a key role in spotting market trends and shaping EDF’s future PPA offering.
Working closely with the Product Development and Marketing teams, you’ll ensure that the PPA business is supported with the right products, communications and events. Reviewing the existing portfolio with an eye on continuous improvement, you’ll create value and maximise return whilst maintaining strong market presence by engaging with key players in the UK renewables market.
