SENIOR PRACTICE NURSE – CENTRAL CLINIC – ALICE SPRINGS

Central Clinic Alice Springs are looking for an experienced Senior Practice Nurse to join their committed team.

Responsibilities

WHAT’S THE ROLE?

We are looking for a Senior Practice Nurse who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care and leading by example. As a Senior Practice Nurse, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, guidance, and support to our practice nursing team. You will work closely with our General Practitioners and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert clinical guidance and support to practice nurses and other healthcare professionals
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice guidelines and protocols
  • Conduct patient assessments, and manage acute and chronic conditions
  • Administer vaccinations and medications as prescribed by General Practitioners
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
  • Mentor and support junior staff members

IS THIS THE RIGHT ROLE FOR YOU?

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
  • Immunisation accredited
  • Minimum 5 years of practice nursing experience, or 10 years post grad.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
    NT PHN/RWA NT may be able to offer support and financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment.
