The position of senior practitioner is also a case holding role, becoming involved with families where risks are more complex, where there has been a previous history of social care involvement or where there are concerns that after initial intervention, escalation to a social care response may be required. The role includes supporting the Team Manager and Team Leader in their oversight of the other workstreams of the team, which includes one to one intervention with adults causing harm, delivery of the Caring Dads group programme and roll out of schools training around Operation Encompass.
