Job Description The Senior Pre-Sales consultant is responsible for supporting sales efforts by designing, proposing, and positioning IT managed services solutions tailored to customer requirements. This role bridges technical expertise and business strategy, working closely with sales teams, solution architects, and service delivery teams to develop compelling proposals, conduct proof-of-concepts (POCs), and ensure that solutions align with client business goals. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), Data, AI, cybersecurity, IT service management (ITSM), and digital transformation and be able to communicate the value of managed services to both technical and business stakeholders. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Pre-Sales Solution Development ✔ Assess Client Requirements – Engage with potential customers to analyze business needs, IT challenges, and transformation goals. ✔ Develop Tailored Managed Services Solutions – Design service models covering: Cloud & Infrastructure Management (AWS, Azure, GCP, hybrid IT) Managed Security Services (SOC, SIEM, threat detection, IAM) IT Service Management (ITSM) (Service Desk, ITIL-based processes, automation) DevOps & Automation (CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform) Data solutions (Snowflake, Informatica) AI solutions ✔ Create Technical Proposals & RFP/RFI Responses – Prepare solution documents, technical designs, and pricing models. ✔ Define Service Level Agreements (SLAs) & Operational Frameworks – Ensure clear definition of service commitments, KPIs, and operational workflows. 2. Sales Enablement & Client Engagement ✔ Support Sales & Business Development Teams – Assist in client meetings, technical discussions, and deal structuring. ✔ Conduct Solution Demonstrations & Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) – Showcase managed services capabilities through live demos. ✔ Develop Business Cases & ROI Justifications – Present cost-benefit analyses and value-driven outcomes to decision-makers. ✔ Engage with C-Level & IT Executives – Build strong relationships with CTOs, CIOs, and IT leaders to position managed services as strategic enablers. 3. Competitive Analysis & Market Positioning ✔ Research Industry Trends & Competitor Offerings – Stay updated on emerging technologies, automation, AI-driven IT operations, and security innovations. ✔ Develop Differentiated Service Offerings – Identify gaps in competitor solutions and highlight unique value propositions. ✔ Engage with Technology Vendors & Partners – Collaborate with Microsoft, AWS, Cisco, Palo Alto, VMware, and other strategic partners. 4. Collaboration with Internal Teams ✔ Work with Solution Architects & Service Delivery Teams – Ensure proposed solutions are feasible, scalable, and cost-effective. ✔ Enhance Proposal & Documentation Processes – Create standardized proposal templates, pricing models, and presentations. ✔ Support in Marketing & Thought Leadership – Provide input for whitepapers, case studies, and webinars to position managed services offerings. 5. Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) in Pre-Sales ✔ Ensure Compliance with IT Governance & Security Standards – Align solutions with ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST, ITIL, and local regulations. ✔ Assess Vendor & Third-Party Risks – Evaluate cloud service provider security policies and integrations. ✔ Define Risk Mitigation Strategies – Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery solutions are incorporated into proposals. Qualifications Education Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field Preferred: Master’s degree in IT Experience Minimum: 8+ years in IT service delivery, including at least 5+ years in a pre-sales or managerial role Preferred: 10+ years in IT service delivery with 5+ years in a managerial role Skills & Abilities Preferred certifications include: AWS / Azure / GCP Solution Architect ITIL v4 Foundation / ITSM Practitioner CISSP / CISM (for security-focused pre-sales roles) TOGAF (for enterprise architecture solutions) Technical & Business Expertise Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, Azure, GCP, hybrid cloud, on-prem to cloud migrations IT Service Management (ITSM): ITIL-based processes, ServiceNow, BMC Remedy Cybersecurity & Compliance: Managed security services, SOC, SIEM, NIST, ISO 27001 Automation & DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Terraform Financial Modeling & Pricing: Managed services pricing models (per-user, per-device, tiered, subscription-based) Additional Information Compliance with policies and procedures based on the ISO standards adopted by CNS.
