A leading clean energy technology company is hiring a Senior / Principal Development Test Engineer to accelerate technical development across next‑generation power systems. If you want to design, build and test real hardware, push boundaries on ammonia-to-power and hydrogen energy systems and see prototypes come to life this is that type of role. Senior / Principal Development Test Engineer Permanent, Full‑time £ Competitive + Benefits Cranleigh, Surrey Senior / Principal Development Test Engineer Responsibilities: Own prototype test rigs, subsystems and experimental test plans end to end. Physically build, assemble, instrument and test prototype systems. Run experimentation that drives real learning and iteration of system design. Interpret test data and feed that directly back into mechanical, electrical & process design teams. Work hands-on with gas handling / energy systems hardware in a rapid R&D environment. Senior / Principal Development Test Engineer Requirements: Degree in engineering or scientific discipline. Proven experience developing hardware prototypes or physical test systems. Strong practical build, assembly and testing capability. Able to run experiments, evaluate results and make conclusions that drive design decisions. Desirable: • Experience working with hydrogen/ammonia/energy systems.
