Our group develops MCU and DSP systems as well as hardware accelerators that are used in a large variety of different products and markets. The Role We are expanding the team to India and are looking for a Senior Principal IC Design Engineer with experience in the development of embedded MCU/DSP systems. You will develop and benchmark such systems for a variety of processor cores and consult the product integration teams during the integration of these solutions into semiconductor products. Strong ability to translate Specifications to Microarchitecture Strong understanding of core digital design concepts: FSM, Timing diagrams, Combination/ sequential circuits, timing analysis Proficiency in Verilog/Systemverilog Familiarity with tools like Lint, CDC, RDC, DC (Design Compiler) Experience with standard interfaces: APB, AHB, AXI SPI, I2C, DMA Experience in MCU/CPU subsystems like ARM processor Experience is design techniques like Pipelining, Low latency, Power optimization Experience in Technical documentation for specification, design, waveform Scripting/Automation languages: Python, PERL Have also some experiences in mentoring younger engineers and leading small projects or methodology aspects Writing specifications based on high-level requirements Nice to Have: Understanding of DFT, FuSa, Cryptography, Security Low Power design techniques #LI-RT1 onsemi (Nasdaq: ON) is driving disruptive innovations to help build a better future.
