Description

About the Opportunity

We are an executive and high-tech search firm partnering with a world-leading R&D powerhouse and innovation leader driving next-generation digital power, green energy transition, advanced optics, and intelligent mobility.

Operating from state-of-the-art research facilities across Germany, this organization combines massive global R&D backing with an agile, publication- and patent-driven environment. We are seeking top-tier Senior Engineers, Technical Experts, and Principal Researchers to shape next-generation architectures across High-Voltage/Medium-Voltage Systems, Advanced Automotive Display Optics, and Intelligent Chassis Control.

Key Technical Domains & Specializations

We are actively building expert engineering teams across three primary technical pillars:

1. Power Electronics & Grid-Tied Systems (Nuremberg / Munich)

  • Utility-Scale Systems: System architecture for large-scale Solar PV, Grid-forming inverters, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
  • Medium-Voltage (MV) Conversion: Design of MV Inverters, Power Conversion Systems (PCS), High-Power Converters (Solid-State Transformers), and multi-kilovolt isolation/topologies using SiC/GaN devices.

2. Optics, Photonics & Automotive Displays (Jena / Munich)

    • LCOS & Micro-Displays: Architecture and design of Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCOS) systems, Spatial Light Modulators, and AR-HUD / Automotive HUD technologies.
    • Optical System Design: Geometrical optics, freeform optics, straylight/tolerance analysis, and imaging system design using Zemax or Code V.

3. Vehicle Dynamics & Chassis Control Algorithms (Nuremberg / Munich)

    • Intelligent Controls: Development of advanced real-time chassis control algorithms (Torque Vectoring, Brake-by-Wire, Steer-by-Wire).
    • Safety & Simulation: ISO 26262 functional safety, control system modeling via MATLAB/Simulink, and real-time validation.

Candidate Qualifications & Profile

  • Education: Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Optics/Photonics, Control Systems, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Proven track record (5–10+ years) in technical leadership, system architecture, or advanced industrial research in one of the domains listed above.
  • Innovation Mindset: Strong record of technical achievements, patents, or peer-reviewed publications in safety-critical, high-efficiency, or high-precision applications.
  • Standards & Tools: Familiarity with industry-standard development tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, Zemax, DOORS) and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 26262, EMC/EMI, Grid Codes).

Why Join This R&D Ecosystem?

  • World-Class Infrastructure: Access to state-of-the-art laboratory environments, multi-MW high-power test benches, cleanrooms, and advanced optical simulation suites.
  • High-Impact Engineering: Direct leadership over core technologies driving automotive electrification, renewable energy integration, and next-generation photonics.
  • Competitive Package & Mobility: Comprehensive compensation structure, full relocation assistance to Germany, and strong career progression within a globally recognized research ecosystem.
