Position Description :
Serco is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Principal Military Trainer – Staff Planner, Protection (Engineer) WfF to join our team at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. In this role, you will support the Mission Command Training Program (MCTP), which prepares Army Corps, Divisions, and Brigades in Mission Command Systems and Operations Process. This is achieved through integrated simulations replicating a robust and realistic operational environment for Large Scale Combat Operations training.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience.
  • Graduate of U.S. Army Command and General Staff College or service equivalent.
  • Prior U.S. Military service as a Field Grade Officer (COL, LTC, MAJ) with Protection (Engineer) background and experience.
  • Familiarity with current Army and Joint doctrine.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Master’s degree with 6 years of experience.
  • Graduate of U.S. Army War College or service equivalent.
  • Mastery of current Army and Joint doctrine.
  • Experience as an OCT and WFX participant.
  • Leadership experience within the Army CTC program, preferably MCTP.
Responsibilities

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Conduct mission analysis of higher headquarters guidance (CSA, FORSCOM, CAC).
  • Integrate training audience objectives into a coherent scenario.
  • Review training audience plans and orders.
  • Coordinate and synchronize warfighting functions in all plans and orders.
  • Develop plans, orders, branches, and sequels.
  • Write HICOM orders for each Warfighter Exercise.
  • During the Exercise Life Cycle (ELC), serve as a conduit between Scenario Design/MCTP and EXCON to plan and prepare exercises.
    Qualifications:

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Ability to facilitate WFX HICOM OPORD and apply relevant doctrine to scenario planning.
  • Experience writing operational orders and Protection WfF Annexes at the Corps and Land Component levels.
  • Skill in integrating additional WfF personnel into planning and execution.
  • Capacity to set conditions for scripted stimulus and injects by foreshadowing problem sets.
  • Ability to develop and present scenario and order-based training to exercise support staff.
