THE ROLE AND THE TEAM
As part of the Propositions Customer Experience Department, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced product professional to join as a Senior Principal Product Manager for the Designer Customer Experience. The role is an Individual Contributor but is the same seniority as a Head of Product.
The Propositions Customer Experience Department is responsible for building remarkable experiences that speak to the unique customer needs when shopping Zalando’s assortment. As a Senior Principal Product Manager for the Designer CX, you will be responsible for the end-to-end experience across all touchpoints and are expected to drive imaginative elevation and market leading innovation that both drives further interest and loyalty with customers as well as enables successful brand partnerships. You will operate in a collaborative environment with Design, Engineering, and company-wide stakeholders, balancing the inputs and needs of many.
This role requires a visionary leader and expert in customer facing product development to drive the product strategy and vision in line with Zalando Group goals and to shape and deliver against an actionable roadmap. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in (fashion) e-commerce, and a passion for creating seamless and engaging user experiences.
WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Develop a comprehensive product strategy & vision (3-5 years) aligned with our business goals and objectives that is setting us apart from competition in regards to experience elevation and technology driven innovation.
Create and maintain an actionable product roadmap that outlines the prioritized features, enhancements, and initiatives
Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from discovery to Execution, including defining problems, sizing the opportunity, Identifying the best solution, coordinating product design and development efforts, supporting user testing, and ensuring successful product delivery.
You will act as the key thought leader for the Designer Customer Experience towards internal teams and leadership.
Build strong relationships with key commercial stakeholders and effectively collaborate with our brand partners to gather requirements, conduct market research, and define product specifications.
Collaborate effectively to ensure alignment, obtain buy-in, and drive successful implementation of product initiatives across multiple teams, disciplines and individuals.. Engage with product leads from various departments within the organization, influencing their roadmaps to achieve collective success.
Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement, drive product optimizations, and report on the effectiveness of implemented strategies. Analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvements and new features.
Regularly communicate updates, progress, and outcomes to key stakeholders, including senior leadership, department heads, and cross-functional teams. Present findings, recommendations, and business cases to gain support and secure necessary resources for product initiatives.
