We are seeking a versatile, self-motivated DMPK Senior/Principal Research Associate to become an integral part in the discovery of macrocycle drug candidates. Our early-stage pharmaceutical company strives to employ the latest advances in technology to progress our ambitious drug discovery projects. A collaborative teammate seeking scientific rigor in a disruptive biotech would be well suited for this role.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology, chemistry, or related science and 4+ years of experience in a DMPK or biology laboratory, including hands-on experience with DMPK-related technology and methodologies such as: automation and LC-MS/MS.
• Experience with cell culture and transport assays.
• Demonstrated CRO management experience.
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines, with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent data management and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge in DMPK job-relevant core competencies (instrumental analysis and automation, assay development, sample preparation, enzymology, cell culture).
• Ability to work with a variety of laboratory instrumentation and related software.
• Team player, working hand-in-hand with colleagues across the organization and supports efforts across departments with relevant expertise.

• Contribute to automated process development and validation, improving upon bioanalytical procedures to increase data output.
• Perform in vitro DMPK assays- metabolic stability, drug permeability, and protein binding.
• Troubleshoot and maintain LC-MS-MS equipment as well as robotic instrumentation.
• Facilitate outsourcing of in vitro DMPK studies.
• Work independently and with senior colleagues to implement novel methodologies to characterize DMPK properties of drug candidates.
• Actively maintain ELN notebooks and related databases.
• Contribute to improvements in data processing, analysis and accessibility
• Establish uptake and transporter assays, and increase throughput on existing transporter assays.
• Team oriented, working hand-in-hand with effective communication of projects and timelines across the organization.
