Description

- As an accomplished expert in a broad research area (e.g., Multimedia and Vision, AI and Machine Learning, NLP and Foundation Model) has a comprehensive understanding of the relevant literature, research methods, and business and academic context. - Creates synergy among MSRA research groups in multiple locations to enable collaboration and creativity. - Doctorate in relevant field AND 1+ year(s) related research experience OR equivalent experience. - Experience publishing academic papers as a lead author or essential contributor. - Experience developing core AI algorithms and solutions in the fields including but not limited to multimedia, vision, immersive AI, embodied AI, HCI, and multimodal foundation models. - Deep knowledge about the latest large foundation models, agentic AI system, and their applications - Strong communication skills to engage with various collaborators both externally and internally This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled. *
