EDUCATION:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Advanced degree (PhD) in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics or related discipline is highly preferred
Responsibilities

We are seeking an innovative, collaborative computational biologist to be part of the Biological Network Analytics team within the broader Multiomics Discovery team, which is responsible for addressing ‘omics and imaging related questions throughout the drug discovery process (from novel target identification and reverse translation to compound optimization) using various high-throughput and high-dimensional technologies. The successful candidate has a strong background in quantitative ‘omics analysis within a drug discovery context. They will need to partner effectively with wet-lab teams to design appropriate experiments, analyze data, interpret results and communicate findings. As the domain is inherently interdisciplinary, they will need to interact with project leads, other data scientists, IT, statisticians, and thus excellent cross-functional communication is an integral part of the desired skill set.
This role will directly support the broader Multiomics Discovery efforts through integration and analysis of multiple high dimensional biology datasets within the Biological Network Analytics group and contribute to the understanding of complex biology through advanced data analysis methods.

You will be responsible for :

  • Design, develop, and validate sophisticated models and algorithms to characterize biological processes and networks at the system level
  • Architect strategies for integrating large-scale datasets – including NGS, proteomics, high-content imaging, and other modalities – across multiomics platforms
  • Apply network analysis and systems biology principles to identify key pathways and interactions critical to disease pathogenesis
  • Collaborate with wet lab teams for experimental design, and with data scientists, IT, statisticians, and external partners to translate insights into actionable hypotheses
  • Support therapeutic project teams with data-driven recommendations, fostering innovation in target discovery, biomarker development, and compound optimization
  • Communicate findings through presentations, executive summaries and publicationsLead internal and external innovation partnerships
