JOB DESCRIPTION
Join BAE Systems’ Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA) group in Hudson, New Hampshire, and lead the charge on a high-impact, funded program revolutionizing electronic warfare for military aircraft. This dynamic initiative is in an exciting growth phase, harnessing the latest advancements in software technologies to deliver cutting-edge electronic attack capabilities. By disrupting adversary communication and radar systems, your work will directly empower warfighters and safeguard national security. With a long-term vision and robust funding, this program offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of defense technology.
As a Senior Principal II Software Architect/Engineering Lead, you’ll spearhead a talented, cross-functional team, driving innovation with state-of-the-art tools and methodologies. You’ll architect sophisticated software solutions using modern C++ in Linux environments, leveraging frameworks like Kubernetes for containerized deployments, cloud-native architectures, and real-time data processing pipelines. Our team embraces Agile and DevSecOps practices, utilizing tools like the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) and Git for seamless collaboration and CI/CD workflows. You’ll have the chance to integrate emerging technologies for signal processing and advanced simulation environments, to push the boundaries of electronic warfare systems.
In this leadership role, you’ll collaborate closely with Systems, Hardware, and Test engineers across all project phases—from strategic planning and requirements definition to design, development, integration, and testing. You’ll present innovative technical designs at customer interchange meetings, mentor engineers to foster technical excellence, and ensure program success through clear communication and robust processes. At BAE Systems, we live our mission—“We Protect Those Who Protect Us®”—by empowering our engineers to innovate, grow, and lead in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
This role requires full-time, on-site work at our Hudson, NH facility to facilitate close collaboration and access to secure systems.
