On behalf of our Health sector client, Procom is searching for a Senior Privacy Impact Assessment Specialist for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with up to 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

SENIOR PRIVACY IMPACT ASSESSMENT SPECIALIST - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Privacy Impact Assessment Specialist will support Privacy Assessments for the Cyber Security & Foundational Services Portfolio. This role involves conducting privacy impact assessments on projects such as platform upgrades and cloud migrations, ensuring privacy compliance and risk mitigation.

SENIOR PRIVACY IMPACT ASSESSMENT SPECIALIST - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ health privacy experience conducting privacy impact assessments
  • Minimum 5 years’ direct operational level privacy experience in a health sector and/or IT environment
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience developing privacy policies and procedures
  • Familiarity with EMR or HIS infrastructure, design, and data flows
  • Knowledge of Information Technology concepts impacting personal information protection

SENIOR PRIVACY IMPACT ASSESSMENT SPECIALIST – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with the Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004 (PHIPA)
  • Familiarity with OntarioMD EMR certification
  • Familiarity with Application Programming Interface (API) functionality and management
  • Familiarity with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
  • Recognized security certification or designation
Responsibilities
  • Develop privacy policies and procedures
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments for medium to high complex initiatives
