The Life Cycle segment at Aker Solutions, takes care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to the end of production, Life Cycle ensure safe and efficient operations.
Our process & safety-team in Trondheim is now looking for a Senior Process Engineer.

What will you be doing?

  • You will be working towards oil and gas, electrification, carbon capture and renewables
  • Process system design through all project phases; from early study work to installation
  • Perform and evaluate process simulations
  • Develop and quality checking of process system design for main and utility process systems
  • Active participate in HAZOP, design reviews and other relevant safety reviews
  • Develop and quality checks of typically process deliveries, such as P&ID, PFD, process datasheets, line sizing and line list, calculation and calculation reports, process and system documentation
  • Contribute to the development of methodology, tools and competency within the Process Department
  • Execute according to and contribute to develop an industry leading project execution model
  • Work together with large clients within the energy industry

We think you should have:

  • You are an experienced and engaged process engineer with 10 years + of experience from the energy sector
  • Broad competency within process system design
  • Solution oriented with good communication and collaboration skills
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant Norwegian regulations and standards
  • A commercial mindset, good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong work ethics and a proactive attitude
  • Good communications skills
  • The ability to see solutions together with meeting customer expectations and requirements
  • The competency to be accurate, flexible and organized
  • Solid command of Norwegian and English, both written and spoken

It is considered a bonus if you have one or more of the following competences:

  • Flare system simulations/calculations
  • Rotating equipment, particularly compressors
  • Blow down and time for rupture simulations/calculations
