ResponsibilitiesBuild hydraulic models in order to perform detail design calculations.
Build SysCAD models and perform process simulations.
Lead the development of Process Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, mass and energy balances, process descriptions and control philosophies.
Improve operational performance through trade-off studies, debottlenecking assessments and process optimisation activities.
Facilitate and contribute to risk workshops and design reviews.
Prepare technical reports and study deliverables.
Expectation as a senior engineer is to peer review others' work.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in chemical or process engineering recognised by the Institute of Engineers (Australia).
Professional registration (CPEng and RPEQ).
5 to 10 years’ experience.
Required SkillsProficiency with hydraulic and process simulation or modelling tools - FFDS, FF3, SysCAD.
Can build, calibrate, and validate models using Plant data for the purpose of performing detail design calculations.
Experience with on-site data collection, process observations, and working safely in industrial environments.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, including data analysis, root-cause investigation, and scenario evaluation to support design and optimisation decisions.
