As an Optical Assembly Process Engineer, you become part of the NVIDIA R&D team, and you will be working on the forefront of the communication technology, building the interconnection infrastructure for the Sophisticated Computing and Artificial Intelligence revolution. What you'll be doing: Process Engineer for new technologies development. In this role you will be developing in the field of micro-electro-optics an advanced assembly process, and carry out processing, align, and assembly of optical devices and that are revolutionizing in the field of optical fiber communication. Your work includes micro-assembly processes and equipment development as well as transfer to high volume manufacturing lines. You will be involved also in the development of the electro- optical devices. This includes: Operating the assembly work environment and equipment for accurate alignment and integration. Learning the programming environment of the alignment cluster, to make new process sequences within this environment. Participate in the process of bringing up a new technology from the R&D stage, to the Engineering and bring-up then to the high volume manufacturing lines. What we need to see: Minimum 5 years experienced Process Engineer in semiconductor, optics, or PCB industry. B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Materials Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Physics or equivalent experience (M.Sc. is an advantage) Good capability and understanding of machines and processes as well as the interface between the two. Capability of working with machines recipes and software. Self-management, innovative and initiator. Superior problem-solving and presentation skills. Teamwork player as well as sole worker. High level of English (Speak, read and write). Ways to stand out from the crowd: Experience with automatic active alignment and laser welding machines and processes. Experience in development environment. Background with the semiconductor or optical communication industry. Good understanding of optical devices and phenomena. Valid background in flip-chip & BGA process.
