Wood is currently seeking expressions of interest for a highly ambitious Senior Process Engineer to support the development, optimization and improvement of processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and profitability for a major capital works program in Laverton, Victoria.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

The ideal candidate would be part of a project delivery team supporting the Principal Process Engineer.

THE KEY OBJECTIVES FOR THIS ROLE ARE:

  • Preparing technical reports, process engineering documentation, and standard operating procedures for projects in the chemicals / agricultural sectors
  • Works effectively with multi-discipline and cross-functional teams to ensure process engineering is developed for seamless implementation
  • Ensures all processes and procedures adhere to safety regulations and quality standards
  • Reviews process hazard analyses (PHA), HAZOPs, and LOPAs to identify and mitigate potential risk
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for collaborating with other engineers, project managers, and stakeholders

  • Minimum 7 years’ direct experience on projects in major hazards facilities (MHF)
  • Demonstrable experience of embedding process safety considerations into all aspects of process engineering and design development
  • Proven experience of being directly involved on projects in the chemicals / agricultural sectors
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemicals engineering (or related field)
  • Must be available to work onsite in Laverton, Victori
