Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Senior Process Engineer to lead complex engineering initiatives across manufacturing operations, pilot plant activities, and capital projects. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in regulated environments (biotech/pharma), strong technical acumen, and a passion for process optimization and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities Lead complex assignments requiring innovative engineering techniques and cross-disciplinary knowledge. Develop and implement engineering policies impacting multiple departments. Supervise and mentor engineers, associates, and technicians. Serve as a recognized expert in at least one engineering specialty. Apply mature engineering judgment to plan and execute projects. Develop creative technical solutions to complex problems. Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, QA, validation, and facilities teams to define system requirements. Manage design projects within budget, schedule, and quality standards. Coordinate external consultants, architects, and engineering firms. Contribute to departmental and project-level budget planning. Skills Advanced problem-solving and applied engineering Technical writing and presentation skills Validation protocol development and execution Equipment-specific expertise and computer literacy Project management, scheduling, and budget development Leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution Ability to manage contractors and vendors Financial analysis and resource planning Qualifications Doctorate in Engineering OR Master’s degree + 2 years of engineering experience OR Bachelor’s degree + 4 years of engineering experience Preferred disciplines: Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or Biotechnology Fully bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred Experience Engineering support in manufacturing operations Familiarity with automation systems and process equipment Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and root cause analysis Proven success in CAPA implementation and process troubleshooting Strong understanding of cGMP, compliance, and documentation practices Effective collaboration with operations, quality, and maintenance teams 6-months contract with possible extension Administrative Shift
