Description

The Senior Process Engineer plays a key role in defining, executing and completing projects that successfully meet the client’s requirements and expectations. The Process Engineer collects and prepares data/information and performs detailed engineering calculations that are consistent with commonly employed engineering practices. The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for the basic process design of unit operations and preparation of engineering deliverables.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • EIT certification desired, PE a plus
  • 10+ years experience in the oil & gas or chemical industries
  • Experience in the design of process equipment (vessels, pumps, exchangers, fired heaters, compressors)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in teams and to present a positive image to clients
  • Working knowledge of or familiarity with: Aspen HYSYS, AFT Fathom/Arrow, Visual Flow, Microsoft Office products, BlueBeam Revu
Responsibilities
  • Documented design basis and process description
  • Process simulation models (using HYSYS)
  • Block Flow Diagrams
  • Process Flow Diagrams
  • Heat and Material Balances
  • P&ID development
  • Material Selection Diagrams/Tables
  • Hydraulic calculations
  • Sizing information for process equipment (compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, distillation columns, separators, reactors, etc.) provided in the form of equipment data sheets
  • Design and sizing of safety relief devices
  • Should be comfortable in interfacing with the clients, visiting clients’ facilities and performing physical work such as walking, stooping, kneeling and climbing stairs/ladders.
