Sedgman is currently seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join their team in Montreal, QC The ideal candidate will have substantial experience providing process engineering design, delivering high quality projects to clients. Key Responsibilities: Provide process design support through the engineering phases PEA, PFS, FS, conceptual design, front-end engineering and detailed design. Develop, improve and promote the effective use of operations systems (i.e. JDE, SPRS, Synergy, Aconex, SMS, Dochub) Troubleshoot and resolve process issues. Develop process flow sheets and prepare process design criteria. Prepare process calculations, PFDs, heat & material balances and P&IDs. Size process equipment and develop specifications. Coordinate with other departments to ensure safe and efficient operations Will be up-to-date with advancements in mining processing technology and recommend implementation of new equipment or processes Additional duties as required Requirements: Bachelor of Engineering (Mineral Processing, Metallurgy or Chemical Disciplines) Will have 15 -20 years of relevant process engineering design experience in the mining industry; with 3-5 years in a supervisory role Will have OIQ Engineering designation. Prior experience in an engineering / consulting firm is required In depth knowledge of process engineering, equipment, and technologies in the mining industry is required Chemical and mineral processing experience is highly desired. Good communication skills with well-developed written and oral skills. Proven ability to work as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship What is in it for you?
