Job Description Broad Function and Purpose of Position: To ensure Injection Mold production efficiency through process design and development, and direct production support. Specific Responsibilities: Interact with the Quality and Tooling groups to resolve defects and mold issues. Experience with DSC, TMA, and data interpretation regarding incoming raw materials. Develop, design, and setup injection molding processes, systems work stations and automation equipment. Troubleshoot injection molding processes and hot runner manifold balancing. Train lead people, setup people, and supervisors on injection molding processes. Interact with the Maintenance and technical groups to help troubleshoot injection systems, develop preventive maintenance programs. And develop spare parts identification and systems. Develop work instructions for injection molding processes and systems and conduct training as appropriate. Monitor and audit injection molding systems for any non-conformance with the process. Support efforts of the company such as continuous improvement teams, training, and production floor support. Efficient in documenting process trials with high level of detail and accuracy. PLC and frequency drive background a plus. Experience with molding PA type materials. Qualifications Qualifications/Experience: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field and/or 10+ years of experience in Injection Molding. Years’ Experience: 10-15 years Injection Molding Processing and automation experience. Strong SPC orientation. Proficient with PC software (Microsoft Office) Highly organized. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent internal and external relationships with all levels of management.
