Reporting to the Shift Foreman, you will be involved in operating, monitoring and maintaining large-scale machinery in a continuous manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role where you’ll develop strong technical skills over time, supported by a structured training program.

What You Will Do:

  • Operate and monitor the paper machine to meet safety, quality and production targets
  • Troubleshoot faults and support resolving equipment issues to minimise downtime
  • Carry out routine machine checks and assist with preventative maintenance activities
  • Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping and environmental compliance
  • Work collaboratively within a team and contribute to continuous improvement initiative

What You Will Bring to the Team:

  • Strong reliability and commitment - you show up, take ownership and follow through
  • A positive attitude and genuine willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Mechanical aptitude or an interest in understanding how machinery works
  • Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, trades or hands-on environment is highly regarded
  • Trade or technical qualifications are advantageous, but not essential
  • Comfortable working a 12-hour rotating roster (4 on, 4 off – days and nights)
  • Able to work in a physically active, fast-paced industrial environment
  • Forklift experience desirable
