Review the production jobs, against standards of safety, quality, delivery, and cost; to ensure we are meeting standard rates, scrap levels, etc. Provide root cause and corrective actions for processes that fall out of control.
Ensure quality products by establishing and enforcing company standards. Ability to process/sample a wide variety of materials. Ensure systemic and product quality expectations are met. Understand the effects of process variables in injection molding and scientific molding principles.
Evaluation of equipment and direction of repairs when needed. Evaluating and reporting production information by analyzing production reports. Identifying opportunities to upgrade plastics processing and tooling performance in support of improved product cost, process reliability and on time delivery to customers.
Assist in resolving process related quality concerns using problem solving techniques (8D, 5 why, PDCA). Work with suppliers and customers to resolve issues. Which may include utilizing Scientific Injection Molding technology to solve problems with the current production problems.
Provide technical support for production. Troubleshoot and remedy situations that do not meet specifications. Enforcing the general rules of the production floor, including safety, dress code, etc.
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to the product, process, and quality system. Establish and maintain written procedures per ISO requirements.
Manage, update, and communicate the production scheduling via IQMS to include changeovers, samples, tool PM’s and any tooling repairs etc.
Support engineering team with changeover, set up and monitoring of sample runs.
Deliver training and instruction to associates and team members for all new processes and equipment during product development and launch.
Work with the project team on new projects to ensure quality products and processes are developed based on the project timeline.

Design, develop and improve new and existing processes. To deliver new processes in line with project objectives and current Health & Safety Regulations.
Support introduction of new products/services into the business.
Create or update Standard Operating Procedures as needed.
Support first article inspection process and provide input to ongoing process parameters to ensure that molding performance meets design specifications.
Requirements:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma. Engineering College Degree desired. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of Injection Molding processing experience. Knowledge of 8D, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen
