As we welcome our new Reserve Bank Governor, we are also looking to welcome a new Senior Procurement Advisor for a fixed term to support our nationally significant mahi. Bring your senior procurement experience to this important role Fixed term to mid November 2026, possibility of a permanent role Salary midpoint around $140k depending on skills and experience Te tūranga – The role As a Senior Procurement Advisor you will support the continuous improvement and maturity of our procurement function. On a day to day basis you will be responsible for ensuring best value for money for New Zealanders through providing advice to a range of stakeholders on best practice procurement, manage the full end to end plan, source, manage procurement process and mentor other members of the team Ō pūkenga – About you We’re looking for a collaborative worker, who can work to deadlines effectively. To be successful in this role you will have: Mandatory knowledge and experience of Government procurement practices, IT procurement experience a bonus Ability to build and maintain relationships across a diverse group of stakeholders In-depth knowledge and experience in the techniques of procurement and current best practice Awareness and understanding of managing contract and supplier management issues Financial analysis skills with ability to manipulate and interpret data Negotiation and relationship management skills Ko wai matou – Who we are We’re kaitiaki (guardians) of New Zealand’s financial ecosystem – enabling economic wellbeing and prosperity for all New Zealanders.
