Senior Procurement Advisor – Major Capital infrastructure project- 24 month contract  Lead end-to-end procurement for a major 500kV transmission line project north of Sydney. Flexible, high-impact role in the Energy & Utilities sector, working with suppliers and subcontractors to deliver critical renewable energy infrastructure on time and within budget.  The opportunity  Downer’s Energy & Utilities business is seeking a Senior Procurement Advisor to support a major capital infrastructure project – a 100km, 500kV transmission line north of Sydney, enabling the energy transition to renewables.  Based in Sydney, you will run the full procurement lifecycle from sourcing and contracting to supplier negotiations working closely with subcontractors, international suppliers, project teams, and senior leadership. This is a full-time 24-month contract with significant responsibility for delivering materials and resources efficiently, on time and within budget.   This role is critical to Downer’s delivery of renewable energy infrastructure, ensuring commercial outcomes and project success across a high-profile, Tier 1 project.  What you’ll do  * Lead end-to-end procurement activities for the transmission line project, including sourcing, contracting, and supplier management  * Negotiate with subcontractors and international suppliers to secure materials and resources  * Collaborate with project teams and regional procurement hubs to optimise schedule and cost outcomes  * Monitor and report on procurement risks, opportunities, and KPIs  * Support the Senior Procurement Advisor and project leadership in delivering projects on time and within budget      What we offer  * Work on a high-impact, Tier 1 capital project in the renewable energy sector  * Exposure to senior stakeholders and international suppliers  * Access to Perks@Downer – financial, travel, and wellbeing discounts  * Leadership and development programs such as THRIVE and EmpowHER  * Opportunity to grow within Downer’s Energy & Utilities business, with dedicated internal mobility support     What we’re looking for  * 5+ years’ experience in procurement for capital projects, ideally in Energy & Utilities or construction  * Strong commercial acumen and experience managing complex contracts  * Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills  * Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment  * Proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused approach      About Energy & Utilities…  Downer's Energy & Utilities business unit is an integrated trans-Tasman team, providing services and solutions that connect communities to essential networks and infrastructure.
