As a Senior Procurement Category Manager Metals (m/f/d) you will report to Purchasing Senior Manager Metals in the Sourcing department based in Blieskastel, Karlsruhe or Obernai for a permanent contract.

What you will do?

• Develop and implement the sourcing strategy for metal raw materials that supports the company’s growth.
• Manage policies and processes for purchasing the raw materials needed for manufacturing products, research, or other business activities.
• Monitor, analyze and anticipate the raw materials market, global economic conditions, and events to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Identify, evaluate, and monitor suppliers and develop relationships which ensure reliable supply and guarantee the quality and availability of necessary raw materials
• Oversee tenders and contract negotiations to secure the best prices to meet raw material needs.
• Strategic support to the main internal stakeholders to ensure our inventory levels targets and manufacturing needs.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards governing the purchase and delivery of goods.
• Lead supplier innovation days and competitions to increase technology sharing and new idea generation. Foster an innovative, collaborative, and high-performance work environment.
