ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Our Public Sector Client is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to support the Canadian Joint Warfare Centre (CJWC). This role will provide procurement expertise in managing service contracts under TBIPS, SBIPS, and TSPS. The selected candidate will deliver expert guidance across a range of procurement and resource management tasks.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Task #1: Provide procurement services for the creation and award of contracts. This may include recommending or awarding TBIPS, SBIPS, and/or TSPS contracts within delegated authority and providing support on portions of more complex and higher value files. As well, this may include the review of procurement, contractual, and resource management documentation to support requirements
  • Task #2: Provide advice and guidance to clients on medium to high complexity files. Advise and assist management and other stakeholders in the relevant procurement policies at play, and make recommendations on best practices
  • Task #3: Provide resource management support. Support the day-to-day management of the administration of resources, to include liaison with the contractor’s representative(s)
  • Task #4: Provide financial administrative support for resource management activities. This includes but is not limited to: preparing reports for managers to assist them in budget management; budget review for labour and travel; processing claims; processing invoices
  • Task #5: Provide solutions and problem-solving for complex cases. As a procurement subject matter expert, find creative solutions to ensure mission-critical procurement objectives are met
