We are currently seeking to hire a: Senior Procurement Engineer Let’s begin with the role: The Senior Procurement Engineer is responsible for the strategic management of technical and indirect procurement activities, with a primary focus on CAPEX optimization and cost reduction across the organization. The role bridges technical requirements, facilities maintenance needs, and procurement strategy, ensuring value creation, supplier reliability, and operational continuity. The position will report to the Facilities Maintenance & Procurement Manager. #YourRole in more detail Develop and implement procurement strategies for technical equipment, maintenance-related materials, projects, and indirect spending. Analyze CAPEX expenditures and design cost-reduction initiatives, including value engineering and total cost optimization. Define sourcing strategies such as supplier consolidation, long-term agreements, and make-or-buy analyses. Identify, evaluate, and develop strategic suppliers. Lead commercial and technical negotiations, including pricing, contractual terms, SLAs, warranties, and delivery schedules. Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and service reliability. Work closely with Facilities Maintenance and other business teams to define technical specifications and procurement requirements. Participate in capital investment projects, upgrades, and equipment replacement initiatives. Evaluate technical solutions based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and lifecycle performance. Utilize and continuously improve ERP and procurement systems (e.g., Therefore). Ensure procurement processes comply with internal policies, controls, and governance standards. Prepare analyses, dashboards, and reports. Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and internal procurement requirements. Identify and mitigate supply chain and vendor-related risks through alternative sourcing strategies. What will you bring: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field). A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Procurement is considered an asset. 5-7 years of experience in Procurement roles, with strong exposure to technical and indirect procurement. Proven track record in strategic sourcing and CAPEX cost optimization. Experience in industrial, energy, manufacturing, or technical environments is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of ERP and procurement systems. Ability to analyze data, KPIs, and financial indicators. Excellent command of the English language. Strategic and analytical mindset with strong commercial awareness. Advanced negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Results-driven, with a focus on continuous improvement. Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct line management responsibility.
