About the role
Are you ready to lead strategic procurement initiatives that drive real impact across IT and digital transformation?
We’re looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to join our Procurement Team that support our Chief Information and Digital Office (CIDO) team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of IT procurement and play a key role in delivering major change programmes.
The responsibilities are to lead and manage end-to-end IT procurement activities across a range of high-profile projects as well as business as usual procurement activities. You will ensure products and services are sourced cost-effectively, and in line with policy and governance.
Also own the full procurement lifecycle – from RFI/RFP through to contract negotiation and supplier management whilst building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and major suppliers.
There may be time where broader support is needed on functional initiatives beyond CIDO when required.

    Location: We operate on a team led hybrid approach with at least 1 day a week in the Coventry office.
    About you
    We’re looking for someone who can lead effective end to end procurement processes on project-by-project basis.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE WILL BE:

  • Understanding of The Coventry’s commercial, member and regulatory objectives and how these should drive procurement activities
  • MCIPS qualified

Responsibilities
  • Financial services experience
  • Significant experience of stakeholder management
  • Deep understanding of the categories which make up IT and the insight to exploit its position in the market to deliver improved value to its members.
  • Demonstrable experience of the tools and techniques of category planning
  • Strong negotiation skill set, demonstrable experience at successfully developing and executing negotiation strategies.
  • Highly PC literate across the MS Office suite
