ING Australia’s Procurement team is looking to hire a Senior Procurement Manager based at our Sydney office. You will play a pivotal role in delivering strategic third-party supplier arrangements that support ING Australia's LEAP strategy and business growth. This is a senior role that serves as the second-in-command to the Head of Procurement, with dual responsibilities for Portfolio Leadership – managing the Professional Services category, including consulting, travel, HR and other related services and supporting the Head of Procurement in supporting the team, driving operational excellence, and evolving procurement capabilities. We are looking for a seasoned procurement professional with strong commercial acumen, deep technical expertise, and the ability to influence across complex stakeholder environments. It also requires demonstrated people management and experience in financial services procurement, ideally IT. Ready to make an impact? What you’ll do Lead sourcing and procurement activities for Professional Services, including consulting, travel, and HR Act as a subject matter expert in third-party risk, compliance, and procurement strategy Build strong relationships across the business to ensure early and meaningful procurement engagement Deliver cost savings, risk mitigation, and improved service outcomes Lead supplier negotiations and secure long-term supply control Support the Head of Procurement in team leadership, performance management, and strategic planning Drive procurement pipeline development, benefits tracking, and reporting Manage high-profile, time-sensitive projects with operational impact Navigate global directives and adapt to local requirements Champion change through new ways of working and technology What we’re looking for Tertiary qualification in business or related discipline Substantial experience in procurement, including RFPs, e-auctions, and platforms like Coupa or Ariba Proven success in banking and IT procurement Experience in complex, global organisations and working with senior stakeholders People management experience, ideally cross-functional Strong influencing and stakeholder engagement skills Familiarity with internal reporting of procurement activities (e.g., savings, ESG) High attention to detail, strategic thinking, and problem-solving ability A proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to lead from the front What’s in it for you?
