Reporting to the Head of COO Office , you will lead the procurement team for Australia & New Zealand, who are centralised in Sydney. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for setting the sourcing strategy for the bank & driving commercial outcomes as well as ensuring adherence to the Local Standard on Service Provider Arrangements. Top Role Accountabilities: Establish sourcing strategies & lead major sourcing transactions to achieve maximum financial outcome & cost savings. Lead, mentor & be responsible for the performance of a small Procurement Team. Build & maintain strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders, including other Rabobank regions Support Supplier Relationship Managers to perform end-to-end vendor lifecycle activities including, but not limited to, sourcing, due-diligence, contract negotiation & performance monitoring Design & lead sustainable procurement practices Conduct & report on data analysis on suppliers, spend, trends & categories to ensure procurement outcomes are met Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, tools, & commercial capability Act as a trusted commercial advisor to senior leaders & executives across the bank Influence & challenge stakeholders to achieve optimal commercial & risk outcomes Present sourcing strategies, business cases, & recommendations to governance forums & executive committees Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, regulatory obligations, & legal requirements. Support audits, regulatory reviews, & assurance activities related to procurement Embed strong contract management & governance disciplines across the supplier lifecycle To be successful, you will have: Proven experience in a combination of Procurement, Vendor Management, strategy, leadership roles Understanding & practical experience of local or global legislations relating to managing 3rd party risks including, but not limited to, DORA, EBA outsourcing, APRA CPS 230 & 234 Strong communication & interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders Exceptional problem-solving skills & commercial acumen, in particular, experience in managing complex procurement activities & leading contract negotiations Demonstrate the ability to apply risk management principles & effectively monitor vendor performance IT Contracts experience is highly regarded Knowledge of relevant global & local Compliance regulations & practices What we're proud to offer you: Rabo@Anywhere is our hybrid way of working at Rabobank & for Australia, that means we have a blend of time working between the office & home Wellbeing leave.
