We are looking for Senior procurement manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead the full procurement lifecycle—from supplier identification to contract execution—to ensure that materials, equipment, and services are delivered on time and meet cost and quality targets. You will also act as a team lead and be responsible for developing, coaching, and supporting your team in both daily operational decision-making and long-term competence development. The role involves also driving supplier performance management through regular reviews, negotiations, and continuous improvement initiatives, while collaborating closely with engineering, project management, production, logistics, and quality teams to secure alignment between technical requirements and procurement strategies. This role is located in our office in Tampere, Finland. What you’ll do Act as a link between strategic and operational procurement for PEC Service organisation globally Act as a team lead for operational procurement for PEC service in Finland Coordinate direct procurement for the nominated projects. Manage operative procurement activities in nominated projects and/or categories. Implement new competitive supply sources and supply strategies to projects. Support sales and cost estimation in sales phase, sourcing of new market areas and suppliers. Participate in separately agreed development projects. Expectations for you B.Sc or M.Sc degree in energy, environmental or relevant technical field +7 years experience in international procurement in similar type of role Experience in working in the pulp and energy industries Team lead experience with good collaboration and leadership skills Result -oriented, customer focused team player with good negotiation skills Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to support decision‑making. Experience in working in a matrix environment is seeing as advantage Fluent Finnish and English skills, both spoken and written (other languages are a benefit). . Responsibilities
