The City of Mandurah Procurement Services team is seeking a suitably qualified, motivated and enthusiastic individual who has extensive knowledge of procurement in a local, state or federal government setting. Working as part of a small and efficient procurement services team, the Senior Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing medium to complex procurement processes working with a variety of stakeholders and across multiple project teams.

We are in the market for an experienced Senior Procurement Officer who will administer the City’s procurement program, as well as maintain a high level of effectiveness in the delivery of goods and services within the established policy, procedures and legislative requirements of the position. You will support the Coordinator Procurement Services in the analysis, development and delivery of best practice processes of the City’s procurement systems through consistent monitoring and maintaining of its compliance, probity, accountability and transparency.

Responsibilities
  • A Tertiary qualification or diploma in procurement, business, law, or related fields is essential.
  • More than five years’ experience in the delivery of procurement services and contract preparation in a local, state or federal government setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in a procurement team including knowledge and understanding of procurement policies, guidelines and procedures within a local and public sector environment.
  • As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to complete a drug and alcohol test
