Senior Procurement Officer - Own It End-to-End National Role If you’re an experienced procurement professional who likes having full ownership, real variety, and work that actually matters, this could be your next move. At UGL, we support some of Australia’s most critical infrastructure. In our Utilities Operations & Maintenance business, we keep electricity networks running safely and reliably across the country. Now we’re looking for someone to take the lead on procurement across the entire business. In this role, you’ll be the sole procurement resource for the Utilities O&M business, supporting all programs and projects nationally and can be based out of our office in Brisbane, Melbourne, or North Sydney. About the role This role supports ongoing maintenance work and new projects as they’re won. The work isn’t always predictable, priorities shift, needs evolve, and procurement plays a key role in keeping things moving. Working closely with the Commercial Manager, operational leaders and project teams, the role spans sourcing and RFQs through to award, purchasing, supplier management and tender support. It’s fast‑paced, hands‑on, and suited to someone who can respond to immediate needs while navigating future procurement needs. Key responsibilities Run procurement from sourcing and RFQs through to award and supplier management. Work closely with operational teams, project managers and the Commercial Manager. Procure a broad mix, from equipment and vehicles to services, property and inventory. Support tenders and helping shape commercial outcomes. Shape your career with an Individual Development Plan. About you Procurement experience in utilities, energy, construction or infrastructure. Comfortable managing high-value, varied spend end-to-end. Can operate as the sole procurement lead and make things happen. Knows procurement systems and governance (SAP experience is a big plus). Takes a proactive, practical approach, planning ahead when possible. Can quickly understand operational needs in safety-critical environments.
