JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you a senior procurement professional with deep expertise in mechanical components and a strong supplier network across China and global markets? Join Philips to lead high-impact sourcing projects that shape the future of our Grooming & Beauty innovations.

Responsibilities

As the Senior Procurement Project Manager, you will drive end-to-end sourcing initiatives for mechanical component modules, focusing on pre-NPI (New Product Introduction) phases. You’ll act as the strategic interface between engineering/module teams and our commodity teams, translating product and technical requirements into actionable sourcing briefs and enabling supplier-driven innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cost Optimization Leadership: Champion cost optimization by challenging the status quo and finding the right balance between product requirements, consumer needs, and supplier capabilities. Leverage deep insight into mechanical components and product functionality to drive competitive advantage.
  • Project Leadership: Lead pre-NPI scouting and sourcing projects for mechanical components, ensuring alignment with product development timelines and technical specifications.
  • Cross-Functional Interface: Serve as the bridge between module teams and procurement, facilitating clear communication and strategic alignment.
  • Sourcing Briefs: Translate complex product and engineering requirements into structured, actionable sourcing briefs.
  • Innovation Enablement: Identify and pursue supplier-enabled innovation opportunities tied to concrete NPI product needs.
  • Roadmap Facilitation: Guide long-term roadmap discussions between module teams and suppliers to ensure future readiness and strategic alignment.
  • Negotiation Strategy: Support defining negotiation strategies with our commodity team and support execution to maximize business outcomes.
  • Risk & Value Assessment: Evaluate supplier capabilities, risks, and value contributions in the context of product and business goals.
  • Lifecycle Support: Oversee sourcing activities across product lifecycle phases, including Phase-In/Phase-Out (PIPO) planning.
  • Resilience: Support initiatives through kaizen events and continuous improvement programs to shorten lead times, define global supply footprint and local ecosystems.
