Your Opportunity We are seeking a talented and driven (Senior) Procurement Specialist with prior experience in the semiconductor industry or buying commodities to join our growing team and play a vital role in our European operations, while contributing to Smith’s global success. You will be responsible for sourcing and managing hardware components (i.e. GPU's), negotiating with suppliers, and overseeing purchasing activities. Key tasks include ensuring supply chain efficiency, maintaining relationships with vendors, monitoring market trends, and developing cost-saving strategies. The role requires close collaboration with various departments to align procurement objectives with business goals. You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, international environment and contribute to our continued growth. Tasks Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering long-term partnerships; Source and negotiate the best prices for electronic components, ensuring quality and timely delivery; Conduct thoroughly part analysis and research to identify alternative manufacturers and cross-recommendations; Manage purchase orders (POs) efficiently, resolving any disputes in a timely manner; Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Accounting departments to ensure seamless order processing and customer satisfaction; Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions to inform purchasing strategies; Apply your knowledge of supply chain management and industry standards to optimize procurement processes. Requirements Prior experience (3-7 years) in purchasing in the semiconductor industry or similar industries. Prior experience in electronics distribution is a significant advantage. Strong understanding of supply chain management principles. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential. A proactive, organized, and detail-oriented approach. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment.
