QUALIFICATIONS OF THE PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST:

  • 3+ years of procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or related experience (energy industry experience a plus).
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with vendors and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with procurement or ERP systems preferred; advanced Excel or data analysis skills a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Lead sourcing and purchasing activities across multiple categories of goods and services, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Partner with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, mitigate risks, and secure cost-effective, high-quality materials and services.
  • Manage vendor onboarding, compliance, and ongoing performance tracking to strengthen long-term supplier relationships.
  • Monitor contracts in partnership with legal to ensure compliance with company policies and contractual obligations.
  • Track supplier performance, billings, and deliverables to confirm accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare, review, and manage purchase orders, contracts, and supporting documentation with precision and compliance.
  • Conduct spend analysis, monitor budgets, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and project teams, to forecast needs and proactively align procurement strategies with company goals.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement systems, policies, and reporting to drive efficiency and scalability in a high-growth environment.
