Description:
Founded in 2001, Resident Advisor (RA) is one of the world’s longest-running music media brands and a cornerstone of the dance, electronic and DJ ecosystem. The site’s audience of over 6 million monthly users is drawn in by a combination of news, editorial, club listings and ticketing, RA-branded events at venues and festivals worldwide, original films and a weekly mix series that has run for 18 years.
Purpose of the role: The Senior Producer will oversee the production of both long-form video and short-form content, podcasts and digital content integrating audio storytelling to create a seamless and impactful multimedia strategy. This role is key in positioning Resident Advisor as a leader in innovative, high-quality visual and audio content.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead long-form YouTube content production, from ideation to execution, ensuring platform best practices and audience retention.
- Collaborate with the social team to create original short-form video content tailored to TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other platforms.
- Manage production budgets, timelines, and pipelines to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Innovate and develop new video and podcast formats, building identifiable show brands that resonate with the audience.
- Partner with the podcast team to deliver engaging video-first podcast episodes for multi-platform distribution.
- Incorporate data and analytics into the creative process to align content with performance goals.
- Maintain and optimise the workflows for the production team to ensure efficient and creative delivery.
We’re looking for:
- Significant experience producing video content for platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, with a proven record of success.
- Proficiency in production pipeline management, including budgeting and scheduling.
- Creative storytelling skills with the ability to conceptualise and execute compelling formats.
- Strong understanding of audio production and podcast integration.
- Familiarity with analytics tools to track performance metrics such as watch time, completion rates, retention, and engagement.
- Background in multimedia production, including video editing, directing, or similar roles.
- Previous experience in managing teams and freelancers is beneficial.
- Passion for electronic music culture and familiarity with Resident Advisor’s audience is a significant advantage.
