Overview Join Delart as a Product Design Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of VR, AR, and pioneering technology initiatives. In this position, you'll harness your expertise to develop, prototype, and advance hardware systems into mass-produced consumer electronics. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to invent and implement solutions that help people stay connected anytime, anywhere. Responsibilities Lead the mechanical design of specific components, features, or systems, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end product development. Contribute to mechanical solutions in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment. Develop, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systems. Navigate the complete product development lifecycle, from concept inception to shipping product. Collaborate with and manage work through Asia-based Supply Chains. Innovate state-of-the-art technologies to address complex mechanical challenges with cross-functional technical teams. Travel up to 50% as required. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. 8+ years of industry experience in mechanical design. Proficiency in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis techniques, functional dimensioning, geometric tolerancing, and 3D/2D CAD software. Strong understanding of material properties, including plastics, metals, adhesives, and glass. Experience with testing and analysis methods such as FEA, Simulation, and Design of Experiments. Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing techniques, including stamping, machining, and injection molding. Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of experience in product design and development of handheld and wearable electronics for high-volume manufacturing, including comprehensive systems ownership. Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering. Experience with NX CAD software. Familiarity with cosmetic surface treatments and coordination with industrial design teams. Mandarin and/or Cantonese language skills. Experience designing for human factors in consumer electronics.
