At Schréder, you’re not just joining a team, you’re becoming a part of a brighter and more sustainable future.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Product Design Engineer with a strong mechanical design background to lead our product development efforts from concept to mass production. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in product design, preferably with knowledge of LED lighting products, associated electrical components, and wiring diagrams. Proficiency in SolidWorks and supervisory experience are essential, as you will be managing one subordinate.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design and development of new products from concept through to mass production.Utilize SolidWorks to create detailed mechanical designs and drawings.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet customer requirements and company standards.Oversee the design of diecast, plastic, and extruded aluminium components.Manage and mentor a junior design engineer, providing guidance and support as needed.Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.Conduct design reviews, provide technical support, and resolve any design-related issues.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our products remain at the forefront of innovation.Apply knowledge of optical design, if available, to enhance product performance.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Min 4-8 years of experience in product design and development.Proficiency in SolidWorks.Knowledge of LED lighting products and associated electrical components.Experience with diecast, plastic, and extruded aluminium component design.Strong project and time management skills.Well-organized and self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.Supervisory experience and ability to mentor junior engineers.Knowledge of optic design is a distinct advantage.Skills and Competencies:Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Proactive and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and precision.What we offer:Growth opportunities: You will be part of a global company that encourages employees to learn and develop daily and pursue their career goals at Schréder.
