Description

ABOUT HUMANLY

Humanly is revolutionizing talent acquisition with our AI-first recruiting platform, built to automate and orchestrate every step of the candidate journey—from first hello to final interview—across every channel.
We help mid-market and enterprise teams hire in days, not months, by engaging 100% of interested candidates and surfacing the best-fit talent faster. Our platform delivers speed, structure, and consistency at scale—so hiring teams can focus on decisions, not logistics.
We are a fast-growing Series A company and behind our tech is a team of bold, curious, and deeply human people. We move fast and build with purpose - for our customers, candidates, and each other. Our culture is built on collaboration, authenticity, and a shared belief that hiring can and should be better.
Our headquarters is in Bellevue, WA, but our team spans the globe.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Our founding designer has laid a strong foundation—design system, product patterns, and a human-centered culture. We’re looking for a single, high-impact product designer to inherit that legacy, drive day-to-day design needs, and level up our user experience as we scale from Series A growth to our next milestones. This is a hybrid position (Tuesday - Thursday) based out of our Bellevue office, reporting directly to the VP of Product.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Own the end-to-end product design cycle – from discovery and research through polished UI, prototypes, and dev hand-off.
  • Maintain & evolve the design system – keep component libraries healthy, introduce new patterns, and document guidelines so engineering can move fast with confidence.
  • Partner deeply with PM & Engineering – join weekly sprint planning, shape problem statements, and ship features that balance user value with technical constraints.
  • Champion understanding users – plan and conduct interviews, usability testing, and rapid feedback loops; turn insights into actionable design improvements.
  • Advance visual + interaction quality – raise the bar on typography, motion, accessibility, and micro-interactions across web and mobile experiences.
  • Mentor by influence – upskill teammates in design thinking; run crits, workshops, and design jams even though you’re the only designer on the org chart.
  • Measure impact – define success metrics with Product Analytics and how other teams build products and iterate relentlessly toward them.
  • Prepare for scale – identify when and where we’ll need additional design resources; play an active role in shaping future hires and processes.
