Description

HI THERE! THANKS FOR STOPPING BY

Actively looking for a new opportunity to work on a team focusing on projects with real business impact? Do you thrive in environments where you can help raise the bar for quality, drive collaboration, and mentor others to reach their full potential? If so, you might be in the right place!
Lightspeed is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Sales Orders team. Our customers are retailers who often manage complex, multi-touch sales processes — from recording customer orders to fulfilling them, and finalizing the sale once goods or services are delivered. In this role, you’ll help define a vision for an ideal, seamless sales order experience and bring that vision to life through iterative design and delivery.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of transforming complex workflows into simple, clear customer journeys with user-friendly interfaces that seamlessly integrate with other workflows. You excel at identifying opportunities to deliver value and thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineers and product managers to create exceptional customer experiences.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead high-level project work from a design perspective with autonomy and authority, facilitating design working sessions to help the teams deliver the best possible solutions
  • Leverage your UX expertise and understanding of design systems, UI design, and how micro-interactions can help users complete a task
  • Turn nebulous concepts into specific ideas that are useful and delightful product features
  • Design holistic systems, flows and interfaces that are simple, elegant, and user-friendly
  • Understand how to best use the current design system to ensure consistency across platforms and contribute to its continuous improvement
  • Draw insights from research and data, and know how to turn those insights into tangible solutions
  • Build relationships and advocate for the user when collaborating with cross-functional teams in product, engineering, and marketing. Oversee the UX from conception to launch
  • Be a positive role model and culture carrier within the studio as well as an advocate for design within the Lightspeed organisation.
