Description
At Gameplan, we build a learning management system that helps schools prepare students for tech careers using their interest in gaming. We work directly with schools, districts, and education programs world-wide with a focus on the American market, to increase student engagement and prepare learners for future tech careers. We’re now looking for a Senior Product Designer to help shape the next chapter of the Gameplan product experience. This is a role for someone who is deeply comfortable in product design, strong in Figma, and excited by the challenge of designing a platform that teachers and students rely on every day. You’ll work across the product from discovery to delivery, partner closely with developers and product leaders, and help raise the bar for how Gameplan feels, works, and scales. Location: Hybrid. 2-5 days from our office in central Uppsala. Language: Fluency in both Swedish and English. What you’ll do Own design work end to end, from problem framing and discovery to shipped solutions Design thoughtful, usable experiences across Gameplan’s core platform Work closely with product and engineering to turn ideas into clear, testable solutions Communicate design decisions early and often, and stay involved through implementation Strengthen and maintain our design system Use data and product analytics to evaluate outcomes and improve what we ship Present concepts, flows, and rationale in a way that creates alignment across the team Help identify where we should direct our focus We think you’ll be a strong fit if you have: Several years of experience in a similar product design role Figma is your happy place A sharp eye for interaction design, UX, and product detail Experience building, using, and improving design systems Confidence driving projects independently The ability to work closely with developers from start to finish Strong communication skills and the ability to explain ideas clearly A portfolio that shows solid product thinking and shipped work We’d be especially excited if you also have: Experience from EdTech or another platform product with complex user needs Experience using product data or analytics tools Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve and ownership matters References who can speak to your craft, collaboration, and ability to execute How we work Gameplan is a mission-driven company with a culture built around openness, ownership, collaboration, and honest feedback. We value initiative and creativity, and we want people who care about doing meaningful work with kind, ambitious teammates. For this role, we want someone who thrives in a direct but respectful discussion climate, can give and receive constructive feedback, and is comfortable contributing as part of a small team where design has room to influence product direction. Why Gameplan? At Gameplan, you’ll get the chance to work on a product with real impact: helping schools deliver more engaging, career-connected learning and helping students build skills for the future. You’ll join a team that cares deeply about education, moves fast, and gives people the trust and ownership to do great work. If you’re a senior product designer who wants to shape a meaningful platform, work closely with developers, and help define what great product design looks like at Gameplan, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
You will own the end-to-end design process from problem discovery to final delivery while collaborating closely with product and engineering teams. Additionally, you will maintain the design system and use data analytics to evaluate and improve the product experience.
