Description

ABOUT US:

Making a meaningful difference with mission-critical software that empowers communities to thrive.

ReadyTech is more than just a one-trick pony playing in one market with one product, or one customer. We re-imagine, design, develop and deliver technology to solve our customer’s diverse problems – supporting multiple businesses across a variety of markets to be ready for anything.

  • We’re an ASX-listed company which means we are stable, have a strong track record of sustainable growth and have a significant number of long-term customers. So, what does this mean for you? It
  • means we can offer you an experience that will push you to be your best, provide career-building challenges, and that will offer you numerous growth opportunities that can’t be found in any other company.

It’s an inclusive environment where there is no place for politics, where we get our heads together to solve the problems that really matter to our customers, and where we always stay focused on our north star – the communities we serve, and society at large.

HELP DESIGN THE FUTURE OF WORK, POWERED BY AI

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who’s not just skilled in UI and UX — but passionate about building intelligent, intuitive, human-centred experiences with AI at their core.
This is more than a design role. It’s the start of something. You’ll be the first in a new chapter of our design team, helping shape the practice, culture and craft over the next few years as we grow a talented and purpose-driven crew. You’ll lead by doing, designing features that blend machine learning outputs with delightful user experience. And you’ll inspire by guiding — coaching new designers and helping us all raise the bar.
If you’re curious about where AI meets human experience, excited by the chance to influence product direction, and keen to help build a design culture that’s exploratory, experimental, and grounded in real user needs — let’s talk.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Own end-to-end product design for major features, especially those using or driven by AI and automation — from discovery to final handoff and iteration.
  • Lead and evolve the design practice across multiple products, setting a high bar for quality, consistency, and accessibility.
  • Prototype rapidly and creatively in Figma or code — including loose, explorative “vibe coding” to test new ideas.
  • Collaborate deeply with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define problems, explore solutions and ship great experiences.
  • Champion design systems — contribute to and expand shared libraries and systems that are scalable, accessible, and consistent.
  • Explore AI-enhanced workflows in your process (e.g. AI-assisted wireframing, prototyping, or user flow generation) and push thinking around how AI can be meaningfully embedded in our products.
  • Translate complex machine learning outputs into interfaces people understand, trust and enjoy using.
  • Run and analyse user research — usability tests, journey mapping, persona creation — to validate decisions and surface new opportunities.
  • Mentor and support future designers, helping to grow a thriving, high-performing team as we scale over the coming years.
  • Drive continuous improvement in how we work — through better tooling, process, retros, and open critique culture.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

  • You’ll help define the design culture at ReadyTech for the next 5 years.
  • You’ll be leading the way as we move toward an AI-first mindset — one that’s smart, human, and grounded in purpose.
  • You’ll be working on real products used by real people, making their working lives simpler and better.
  • You’ll help shape how people and AI collaborate — not just in our company, but across our industry.
