About the Role

My client is looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer to take ownership of the design function within an ambitious, technology-led business.

This is a unique opportunity to shape how customers and users experience my client’s product, working closely with the founding team and engineering function.

You’ll take ideas from concept through to prototype and launch, with genuine ownership over the work you produce. This is a senior, strategic role that will manage another designer.

Senior Product Designer Responsibilities;

• Own the end-to-end design experience across multiple physical and digital product surfaces.
• Design intuitive customer experiences across payments, enrolment and access journeys.
• Define and develop a scalable design system, including tokens, components and reusable patterns.
• Design merchant-facing portals and dashboards covering payments, analytics and reporting.
• Own the design and development of my client’s website and wider digital presence.
• Help shape positioning and brand identity across every customer touchpoint.
• Rapidly prototype concepts and take them through to launch.
• Use AI as part of your day-to-day workflow to accelerate ideation, prototyping and product development.
• Work closely with founders and engineers to balance customer needs, visual quality and technical constraints.
• Establish strong design principles and processes as the product and wider business continue to grow.

Ideal Senior Product Designer Profile;

The ideal candidate will combine strong visual design instincts with a highly analytical, systems-led and technical approach.

You’ll ideally have:

• 5+ years of experience in product design, ideally working across complex digital products or technology-led environments.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating products and experiences that you have personally taken from concept through to launch.
• A genuinely hands-on approach to product design, with a track record of shipping work rather than simply producing designs in Figma.
• Strong visual and creative instincts, with an excellent eye for detail and the ability to create polished digital experiences.
• A systems-thinking approach, with experience building or contributing to scalable design systems.
• Confidence working closely with engineers and understanding technical constraints.
• Experience using AI tools as part of your creative, prototyping or product development workflow.
• The ability to operate autonomously, make decisions and take ownership in a fast-moving environment.
• A degree in engineering, industrial design or a related discipline would be advantageous, although equivalent experience and evidence of systems thinking will be considered.
