WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Toyota North Carolina’s (TBMNC) Central Technical Services Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Product Engineer.
The primary responsibility of this role is to plan, develop, and support the product engineering department to ensure product quality and safety, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive innovation to meet customer/market demands.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the department’s objective to support the manufacturing and design teams in producing the highest quality product to exceed our customer’s expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate collaboration between design and manufacturing teams to support design intent and manufacturability of battery cells, modules, and packs.
  • Lead product investigations and provide technical support when process/quality engineers face challenges meeting design requirements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve product-related issues.
  • Support testing and validation activities to ensure product compliance with safety, reliability, and performance standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on manufacturing feedback and product performance data.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Research and Development (R&D), quality assurance, supply chain, and process engineering teams.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the department.
