Description
Location: Kowloon, Job Summary: To drive the successful transformation of the business in becoming a world-class sourcing organization by supporting the management of the company's testing protocol, testing procedures and transparency, labeling requirements, and reporting systems for an assigned product category. The role will partner with the ITS On-Site Account Manager(s) with regard to reporting systems, vendor testing transparency, product testing evaluation, and problem solving . Responsibilities: Key Accountabilities: Execute annual reviews of testing protocols, testing matrix to assess their continued appropriateness and effectiveness, in compliance of regulatory & non-regulatory requirements Review testing submission forms and protocols Support the identification of test requirements and control process for RSL, CPSIA Review testing/labeling requirements and establish testing protocols as TCP develops new countries’ retail entry Support extensions to the scope of Product Integrity (wearer trials, laundry best practices, etc.) Partner with the ITS on-site Account Manager(s) to ensure that all Product Integrity responsibilities are fulfilled Complete reports and analysis on product testing results in an accurate and timely manner Take corrective action in relation to failed test reports/XF alerts, as directed by the PI Manager Support the building of business relationships between TCP and 3rd party testing laboratories. Conduct on-going assessment of services level and requirements. Track various product testing measures to ensure they are conducted as per the Company’s established guidelines Monitor the application of data manager and facilitate the on-going business requirement for the tool to improve data integrity and efficiency Partner with the ITS team in product safety and line review to pre-screen design tech pack/samples during the development and proto-sample stage for any product testing alert and risk call out; follow up with Fabric team on action to be taken Proactively look for opportunities to identify product testing risk and seek preventive measures Contribute to and maintain content of product safety audit and manual related to product testing to establish standards of evaluation and requirements for follow-up Respond to Product Integrity queries and concerns from vendors and colleagues With the help of data manager, monitor product testing performance of all vendors/suppliers Analyze product testing performance trends and identify improvement opportunities Communicate results to vendors/suppliers and cross functional teams Follow up with suppliers' improvement plans based on testing performance tracking Ensure that various product testing measures are conducted by vendors/suppliers as per the Company’s established, guidelines and protocols. Support the Manager, Product Integrity in addressing quality issues associated with Bazaar Voice Review past Bazaar Voice cases and use them as lessons learned Act as an internal specialist/consultant and actively connects cross-functionally with other divisions to share product testing results, learning and updates Partner with Product Technology & Quality Assurance teams for any initiatives to drive product quality improvements Collaborate with multiple global stakeholders in executing new global compliance, regulatory, emerging markets, and/or product integrity projects Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Textile, Fashion, Clothing Technology, or equivalent Tertiary educational qualification in Textile, Clothing, or relevant discipline (chemical knowledge preferred) Solid familiarity with international safety standards including CPSIA, CSPA, REACH, China GB, etc. Solid knowledge and experience in needle detection, calibration, Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) Control Comprehensive knowledge of Sourcing operations, including Fabric & Trims & Merchandising 3 years of experience in product safety audit, compliance, product testing, or inspection for children’s products. Coaching or training experience preferred Ability to quickly identify production or product safety problem areas and quickly recommend solutions Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) Great command of both verbal and written English Possess strong presentation and communication skills Possess a strong attention to detail and time management make our PLACE yours Being a part of our team takes collaboration and hard work.
