Job Description NIQ Activate is a single platform bringing together powerful retail capabilities — insights, analytics, and supplier collaboration tools. As we continue to enhance our Assortment module, we are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data-driven product development and a proven track record of building scalable analytical products in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The role requires strong data literacy, technical collaboration skills, and a clear focus on driving measurable business outcomes. Key responsibilities Product Requirements & Prioritization: Create and maintain a well‑defined, prioritized product backlog. Ensure business needs are clearly translated into requirements and understood by the development team. Align priorities with Product Leads and key stakeholders. PI Planning and Execution: Coordinate the delivery team throughout PI planning, alignment sessions, and reviews to ensure execution is on track and aligned with business and product objectives. Collaboration with Data Science: Partner with the Data Science team to maximize analytical value using proven industry standards as well as unique assets to create a competitive edge. Identify relevant data sources and analytical techniques (including AI/ML) for new features. Demonstrate strong data literacy to interpret analytical outputs, validate models, and ensure the data and methodology supporting new features are robust and scalable. Technical Collaboration & Architecture Alignment: Work closely with Engineering to ensure solutions are technically feasible and aligned with platform architecture. Ensure the design makes our products scalable, cost-effective, and efficient in performance Market Research and Analysis: Conduct and leverage market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Use data-driven insights to inform product decisions and prioritize features. User Experience: Collaborate with UX to design the intuitive experience aligned with the platform guidelines. Ensure product requirements are accompanied by clear, structured documentation (Figma, acceptance criteria) Product Advocacy & Enablement: Guide commercial teams and solution experts on analytical methodologies. Support customer‑facing teams (Sales, Customer Success) in explaining analytical concepts. Provide expertise for advanced or complex client inquiries. Translate analytical insights into clear business value communication for internal teams and clients. Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships with engineering, data science, product marketing, customer success and sales to support optimal workflows and successful product outcomes. Qualifications Analytical skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in working with numerical models. High data literacy – ability to interpret analytical outputs, validate models, and make data-informed product decisions. Experience: 5-6+ years of experience in a Product role, building analytical or data‑driven solutions at scale. Experience in Technology, Operations, or Data Science is a plus. Domain knowledge: Understanding of category management and assortment analytics is an advantage. Experience with retail data is a strong plus. Organizational skills: ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, maintain team focus and remove blockers. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business or equivalent work experience Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to explain complex analytical topics clearly to diverse audiences. Fluent English required. Tools: Proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of product management tools such as Figma, Jira and Confluence. Familiarity with agile methodologies.
